Bordignon has registered numerous patents in various countries.
Our entire production process, from planning to production management and control, is controlled by
custom software.
Bordignon die springs are coiled on our own patented, in-house coiling machines that do not score or deform
the wire – essential characteristics if extended fatigue resistance is to be guaranteed.
Once coiled, our springs are tempered in a salt bath to obtain the ideal form of bainite steel. The
atmosphere in the tempering chamber is constantly monitored to maintain the right percentages of C and
O2.
Our laboratories are equipped to perform quality control checks on incoming raw materials as well as a
range of finished product tests, including rigidity, dimension and duration tests, etc..
Our pressing process is performed in electronically controlled presses. Unlike conventional mechanical
presses, our electronic presses can measure the pressed length of each individual spring, and reject any
that are out of tolerance. Spring length is therefore 100% controlled.
Press block rigidity and deflection are also checked in line at pre-established intervals.
